The South Shore Summer Festival
Thanks to all who attended the South Shore Summer Festival on August 19th. This was the 8th Annual Festival and thousands came out to enjoy this community event with friends and family. Jeffery Osborne amazed the crowd with old time favorites like On the Wings of Love and his classic hit, You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song). Other performances by The South Shore Drill Team, The Remedy and Dorothy Roberson as Tina Turner where just as spectacular.
Many local restaurant such as The Slab Bar-B-Que, South Shore Brew and Royal Caribbean Jerk were vendors on site selling their delicious food and beverage items. This event is sponsored in partnership with 5th Ward Alderman Leslie A. Hairston, SSA #42 and The South Shore Chamber Economic Development, Inc.
